Immediate and significant improvements
Easy to install. My download speed of 5G increased from 3.8 Mbps to 94.49 Mbps. 2 walls blocked the signal earlier. The 3.8 was through a small corridor. The extender placed at a strategic point helped amplify the signal. I have cancelled my second broadband connection as a result of the benefit I get from the extender.I am also blessed to receive the advice of an honest and hardworking network engineer of a service provider who told me to go in for an extender.

Expensive but good product
Product was pricier than most but very easy to setup and working well after 2 weeks of using it. Gives option for 5hz network as well which is nice even tho we do not have dual band.I Put extender in bedroom as wifi was not reaching there and now new signal is working great. Zoom calls working perfect, movie, streaming, gaming, all without lag.Would recommend for sure ð

AMAZING WIFI EXTENDER
Hands down a great device for everyone using 300mbs speed at there home. Easy to install and connect and very compatible for my usage. Looks and size is just perfect ð ðIt’s a great device to use at homes where your wifi is LOW.Just remember it’s a wifi extender and not a device that will have the capabilities to access internet through heavy walls and where your main wifi can’t even imagine to even give one bar signal

Just Perfect!
The RE450 is an 802.11ac range extender with a maximum data rate of 450Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 1,300Mbps on the 5GHz band. With two fold-out antennas on either side and one that pulls out of the top of the device.PROS* Good value* Easy to set-up, good instructions and operated as it should first time.* Very good throughput and range performanceCONS* Bulky* Takes too much space on the switch board due to itâs width so some double sockets will not be accessible by a second plug.* It isnât the most graceful device and is easy to knock out of place.* It houses an ungrounded plug on the back and is extremely top heavy. This dual-band extender plugs into any wall outlet and delivers solid throughput speeds and good signal range. Even though it’s bulky its performance, particularly at long distances, makes it good choice for wireless range extenders. The front of the RE450 sports a large Range Extender (RE)/Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button with an LED light ring around its outer edge. The ring is blue when the extender has a good connection to the router, and red when it is too far away. It blinks blue while a WPS connection is in progress, and is off when there is no active connection. Below the button are 2.4GHz- and 5GHz-band status indicators and a Power indicator. The left side holds Power and reset buttons and a button that turns off the LED lights. Over on the right side is a single gigabit LAN port, and there’s a two-pronged plug at the rear.Installing the RE450 is a snap, especially if your router supports WPS. Start by plugging it in to an outlet that’s close to your router and wait for the Power light to turn blue. Press the WPS button on your router and immediately press the WPS button on the extender. Once the LED ring changes from blinking blue to solid blue, you’re done. I used this method, and it took less than three minutes. You can now move the extender to a location that is ideally halfway between your router and the dead spot in your home. If the LED ring turns red, you have to move the extender closer to your router. The TP-Link AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE450) is an excellent choice if you’re looking to extend the reach of your wireless network. It offers solid close-proximity throughput, and performs wonderfully.Should you buy it?YES. The RE450 has all the best features: dual-band compatibility, WPS, an access point mode, a Gigabit ethernet port, helpful indicator lights & external antennas. So it’s a highly recommended purchase!

A quick fix for WiFi range issue and it works
I have a range issue in the second floor as the main modem/WiFi router is installed in the first floor. This solved the issue practically but here is what you need to know if you haven’t tried such solution yet:1. It’s amazingly easy to set up.2. It can work either as an extender or as an access point.3. Here is the caveat: if you deploy this as an extender, don’t expect that you can get the same SSID as the router. The extender will as _EXT suffix to the original SSID. This is not a great problem BUT you will need to setup all your devices for a new “access point” because of this change (added extension). Also, they have documented that if they are using this extender along with TP Link’s mesh router, it will be the same SSID all around and devices will latch to the strongest node seamlessly.4. It comes with Indian-type three-pin plug (this is bought in India) integral to the extender body. This is a convenient design but I expected a DC power input as well. Unfortunately it doesn’t have one. So it is not possible to power it from a router UPS (inexpensive solution to power such a device). In my case the main router is UPS powered and so if there is a power outage, extender will become unavailable even when there is connectivity and the main router is running.5. Signal strength or range was not specified in any documentation and I would give only 4/5 stars for this. As I get only 2-3 bars in the strength indicator, across a wall while I see the main router signal from the floor below is stronger. It may be designed so, for a mesh network and it may be adequate for that.Overall I would recommend this to extend WiFi range because of setting up was simple and it really works.

easy to set up, worked well for ONE day
it was easy to set up – i could do it myself in a short time. and it worked well for one whole day. did serve my purpose to get coverage upstairs from the router placed downstairs – for one whole day. Positioned the extender in a sort of straight line from router midway. BUT it stopped working after one day – I was terribly disappointed. Now I have set it up as an access point, using an ethernet cable. Hope it works well for a few years at least.

Went through 3 other brands with good reviews for a better price and the all failed in less than 2 months. Finally went with a trusted name and very happy. Setup was fairly easy and great improvement on speed with a 2 story house and upstairs router. Get this and you will be happy
