    Just flipping it!
    I bought this phone only because of the craze towards a flipping phone since my teenage. Initially made an order on 8 October. But within two days saw a price reduction. Cancelled the order but card was maxed out. By the time I could purchase, that offer was long lost. Bought this with an exchange on 24th October and received it on 27th October. Quick shipping by Amazon. Yet, recently, I have begun having doubts in this regard.Pros regarding the phone:1. Awesome packaging.2. Battery is excellent. Lasts more than a day for me. Perhaps its because I am not into social apps.3. Love the front screen. Added Max onto the screen and it is spectacular. He makes my day at times.4. Above all, it is a dream come true for me. Have longed for a flip phone since I saw Moto Razr in 2006 or so.Cons regarding the phone:1. Hardware is not up to the price. The price becomes worth if only you enjoy flipping open the phone.2. One hand usage is not advised. The phone is most likely to fall on the floor. As such, we need both hands to be free when attending calls.3. I had ordered the mystic dawn color. So the case that came with it is purple in color. It has sort of become dirty due to usage.4. My return period ended on 3 November. Till then the phone was alright. On 4th, I found that the hinges had become slightly loose when you keep the phone in 90 degree open position, and the upper part would shake. Don’t know if this is how it is meant to be. I’m yet to contact customer care (Carlcare).Update:I had taken a lot of care in handling the phone. However a simple fall from my hand was all that was required. The phone fell from a short height. Yet in that single fall, the hinges got damaged. Upon opening the screen, found that also damaged. Visited the nearest carlcare service center and they quoted 34k excluding taxes for the repair. Another irony is that I have six months EMI remaining.

    Now I’m going to leave an extremely honest review which is going to focus on 3 different things. Take my review with a pinch of salt.I bought this product on Amazon as I’ve been using this app for over a decade. I thought that its a trusted brand and there wouldn’t be any issues. I recieved the product and on the first day itself I realised that there is a manufacturing defect in the phone where it would not charge more than 50%. So extremely worried, I called Amazon where they transferred me to Amazon technical support. There an agent first told me that it’s a setting issue and tried to troubleshoot the phone but it still didn’t work he asked me sir may I please send a technician to your place he will troubleshoot it for you and try and fix the issue if not we will replace the phone or refund the money. I agreed and the ticket was raised. NOTE: that you get the details of the agent only as long as the ticket is open with an OTP to reach the agent. The next day the agent came home sat for 3 hours and tried to troubleshoot the phone finally he said sir don’t worry it seems to be battery or mother board issues I’ll be back in 2 days with a replacement piece and closed the ticket. At that time It didn’t occur to me to take down the agents number as I trusted that Amazon would provide me with the number if needed.On the third day i tried to look for the agents number but couldn’t connect via Amazon so I called the customer care number and told them the same. This is where my horrible experience and the game Amazon played began. Amazon said sir no worries we will provide you with the contact number of Tecno please contact them and they will be able to tell you what’s going on. Upon calling Tecno they asked me for my details and IMEI number which I provided. They said sorry sir but there is no job sheet raised with this number. I was shocked and so I called Amazon back asking them who came to my home and who was it that said I’ll come back and give you a replacement NOTE: the product warranty for replacement is only 7 days from when you buy the product. After a one and a half hour irate call, Amazon technical support said 3 things—1. That they have no details of the of the agent who came to my place, now who has my address and personal details. Which is a privacy concern.2. That they cannot replace or refund my product until I go to the service center calcare which in my city is 50 kms one side. So 100 km up and down.3. I asked them atleast send the guy home since it’s way too far they refused and said we can’t do anything.4. They kept pointing at calcare and calcare kept pointing at Amazon.5. I asked them to escalate the call. To which again they first lied and said that there is no one here at 11.00am. which is impossible. Then they said we don’t have no one above us and no option to escalate the call. The agent tried really hard to get me off the call and hand me over to one of her colleagues so that this was no more her problem.My Heart sunk into my chest as I had now put in 55k for the phone and I was stuck between Amazon and calcare. I had to take a day off from work the next day where I reached calcare the service center. They checked my phone and told me sir there is a board issues we need to replace the phone. When they asked me to show me the invoice the date of purchase was different from when it was delivered. Luckily from date of purchase the day I went was the sixth day. They told me Sir if you would have come day after we would only be able to repair it.NOTE—1. Another days delay would make me have a refurbished tecno phone after paying full price.2. If I would’ve waited based on what the agent told me that he would come back with a replacement piece in 2 days, I would have the same consequences of my 7 day replacement policy expiring.3. Once you buy this phone from Amazon you get to contact no one and no one helps you.4. Amazon gives your contact details to random technicians who visit your doorstep and lie to you.5. If the service center is far away then the doorstep support advertised is wrong and you have to visit them.All in all i would say that it’s not worth the hassle and buying electronics on Amazon is a scam.Again this is my personal experience and other people might have other experiences. I just want you guys to know this as there are key steps that you need to follow when you purchase electronics from Amazon. The main thing being don’t trust their customer care and technical support agents as they are liars and cheats and try to fool you out of your 7 day replacement policy also this that the replacement policy starts the day you purchase the product and not from the day it is delivered so calculate that and make haste if you recieve a damged or defective product. I would suggest go down to croma and buy your product as if there are any defects they will exchange it in store for you within 7 days.

    Pathetic battery and charging
    Took more than 2 hours to charge and got discharged in just 6 hours. I have been running from post to pillar to return this defective item but no luck yet.Amazon return flow is so pathetic, the entire report an issue flow is so pathetically designeed by some stupid product person, it’s fully automated and goes in loop, and you have literally no option to return despite clicking on return it takes in loop and somehow I got option to connect with call centre and worse they asked me to talk to the brand to return. Wow, so Amazon 7 day return policy is a total fraud.Don’t buy this product at all, it’s v poor quality. I saw negative reviews yet bought and now repenting big time… Complete watse of time and money..

    Value for money as I got it for 45K with no cost EMI
    A folding phone under 50 K is absolutely stunning at this price point1. Looks is good, stylish & you all love it at once2. Battery is enough for one day, if you are having hectic use you might need to charge for more than once3. Size is quit enough good, pocket friendly4. Camera is disappointing5. You need to find extra mobile cover, which is really hard to find at any mobile cover shop6. Speaker is not so much good, sound may spread at some point7. Outer round display has very limited use, one will always need something extra from that screen, for that samsung & oppo screen is useful I ll suggest fold rather than flip , as for the daily usage & purpose.Definitely value for money at price point 45K, your friends definitely like at first impression but for the user may got bored at one point of time
